Building a social media presence for a company requires more than just a couple of random posts; it’s important to have a well-thought-out plan to make sure that all the posts are aligned to your brand’s mission and captures your audience’s attention. The designers at K.R. Finance follow a strategic plan when posting on social media, and I’m going to tell you how it’s done.

Coming up with a Strategy

Having a strategy is an essential part of posting on social media and it kind of turns into a guide for future posts. K.R. Finance has two people in charge of social media, and the first thing they do is discuss ideas about what to post. Next, they discuss content and what would work and what wouldn’t. Discussing content topics and what kind of posts will be posted can also help save time in the future. The important thing to discuss while coming up with content is K.R. Finance’s target audience and how these posts can impact our target audience. K.R. Finance’s social media posts are based on inspirational quotes and meet the team, but we are doing a lot of research about where we can branch out on our social media to engage with our followers. Finding common interests with our followers and showing our personality as to who we are as a company is important.

Designing

First things first, our designers talk about what content topic they want to focus on for the week. Once they figure that out, they then decide what pictures to use. They organize their pictures based on what kind of post it is, and they determine if it’s a good picture for either an informative post or an inspirational quote, they want the images to have an impact on the audience, and it has to also to follow brand guidelines. Once pictures are chosen, then colors have to be selected, and our designers try to decide what brand colors (black, yellow, and white) goes with the picture. They also make sure that the colors and posts connect to follow our brand and everything is organized, and nothing is out of place. Next, our designers use Illustrator to play around with different typefaces, and they use Photoshop to edit the pictures if necessary. Once typefaces and pictures are edited, different versions are created on Canva. After Canva, the designers discuss any final edits that need to be made and which version they’re going with. The posts also get approved to make sure brand guidelines are being followed and get a different perspective. Then posting happens.

Scheduling

It’s essential to have a set schedule when posting and figure out what times our followers are more engaged because it makes our lives easier, and we also make sure our followers can look at our posts. We don’t want to post randomly or too little because it will make followers not want to follow us or it will make the followers disinterested in our social media. We might even lose followers. We at K.R. Finance try to post at least three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We want to let our followers know that we have a passion for what we do and engage with our followers.

We want to be seen on social media as well as stand out. So, we must stay active on our social media pages. If you need help with your social media but don’t have the time to keep active or figure out what to post, get in touch with us, and we can help.
